Become a Catalyst for Change
General Education
General Education Development (GED ®) classes are designed to prepare students to successfully pass the GED® tests as well as to assist them in setting and meeting personal, educational, and employment goals. From 2004 to 2010, Re:Start has helped to prepare over 600 adults to take the GED® tests, earn their high school equivalency diploma, and proceed to enrich their lives and our local workforce by meeting their employment, technical training, or higher education goals.
Help increase the GED® graduation rate for the next 6 years: donate to the GED® Fund.
Mom’s Clubs
Mom’s Club Sites teach “Baby Basics,” a health literacy program designed by the What to Expect Foundation (New York) for the purposes of empowering pregnant women to access, act upon, and understand healthcare information; have a healthier pregnancy outcome; and be better able to provide a healthy future for themselves and their children. In partnership with the Interfaith Homeless Network, Erlanger Hospital, Head Start, Chattanooga Housing Authority, and the Northside Neighborhood House. Currently maintaining nine Mom’s Clubs at locations across the city, Re:Start has provided health literacy classes to over 225 moms since 2007, and has had 150 moms complete the program and deliver full term, healthy babies.
Help more mothers have healthy babies: donate to the Mom’s Club Fund.
