Economy Spurs Demand for Literacy Programs

"Since the recession began in December 2007, more than 5 million jobs have been lost.

Callers are inundating literacy agencies because they realize they can't compete in this difficult job market without a GED. At the same time, many of those callers are forced to recognize and admit their inability to read simple documents, including a job application."

Re:Start hosts "Give Back" Night at Brainerd Chili's

On March 8, from 4 - 11 pm, the Brainerd location of Chili's Grill & Bar is teaming up with Re:Start - The Center for Adult Education to invest in Re:Start's GED® scholarship fund. Patrons who bring in a flyer will see 10% of their bill donated to helping students in financial need to reach their goal of earning a high school equivalency diploma.
